Newsweek Names UA a Top High School
Posted on 09/02/2015
We are thrilled to announce that the University Academy Upper School was recently named one of America’s Top High Schools by Newsweek magazine.  University Academy ranked #199 of 500 schools honored for “Beating the Odds”.  There are more than 21,000 public high schools in the country.  University Academy has had a college acceptance rate of 100% since the year 2004, and the high school has been one of the top performing schools based on state standardized test scores for the past four years.  Newsweek considered many factors in the ranking, including graduation rates, ACT scores, AP/Dual Credit offerings, student retention, college enrollment, and student-counselor ratios.

This ranking is reflecting data from the graduating class of 2014.
UA has previously been honored by U.S. News & World Report (2012 – 2015) as one of the Best High Schools.

While the award is a high school award by nature, this is a team award for everyone in the building, including students, parents, staff, our board and donors.
