University Academy Meets the State's Performance Standards and Exceeds Performance Benchmarks

University Academy, a Kansas City college prep charter has met all 14 of Missouri’s academic performance standards.  Their achievement results include a 92.7% Proficient and Advanced pass rate in English, which is one of the highest in the state.  School wide, they have earned a 95% attendance rate, a 100% graduate and college acceptance rate, and the Middle and High School made AYP for the second consecutive year.

The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s preliminary Annual Performance Reports shows how many academic performance standards that districts have met in categories including test scores, graduation rates and attendance.  The state's system of evaluating schools predates the federal No Child Left Behind Education law.

Three-fifths of the Missouri districts met all the performance standards possible and University Academy was one of them.

University Academy is a K-12 charter school in Kansas City, MO that that opened its doors in the fall of 2000 and has always been committed to providing students with the highest quality college-preparatory education possible.  University Academy has roughly 70% free and reduced lunch students, and has a commitment to serve the whole child and to help students and their families manage issues that have the potential to detract from the students’ opportunity and motivation to learn. Please help University Academy spread the good news and celebrate their achievement.
