In addition to the courses that University Academy offers, the school also encourages its juniors and seniors to take dual-credit classes at various local universities including UMKC and Rockhurst. University Academy helps pay for the vast majority of tuition for the classes that the students take at those colleges, although parents are responsible for some of the matriculation fees. We believe this is a valuable program as it not only effectively broadens our course offerings, but also allows our students to experience actual college classes and gives them confidence that they can succeed in college. Many of our seniors graduate with significant amounts of college credit.
