University Academy's After School Program

UA's After School Program is a supplement to the students' school day, set up to support our working parents at University Academy. The After-School Program hours are: 3:00pm – 5:30pm.

The After-School Program Schedule is as follows:
3:00-3:35pm - students are picked up from their classroom and assemble in the cafeteria for snack.
3:40-4:30pm - students are in classrooms for tutoring and grade level instructional support.
4:35-5:30pm - students play games, watch movies and/or play outside until pick-up.

Please remember that there is a late fee of $10, for every 5 minutes that you are late, and this fee is due upon arrival. Students incurring a late fee will be suspended from the After School Program until the fee is paid.

YouthFriends
UA is working with YouthFriends to strengthen our volunteer program this school year. YouthFriends connects caring adult volunteers from the community with students in schools. These volunteers serve as mentors and breakfast/lunch buddies to specially selected students. Ashley Knapp is coordinating the YouthFriends program at UA, and she needs your help finding volunteers.

Volunteers range from college students to senior citizens, so you might ask your grown children, your significant other, your spouse, your parents, or your grandparents to participate. Please visit http://www.youthfriends.org/ for additional information. All volunteers are screened and trained free of charge.
