What kind of communication can I expect during the process? If your qualifications meet the criteria for the position, you will be contacted by the human resources department or the building administrator/principal to schedule an interview.
Does my educational experience make me too expensive to be hired? Have I taught too many years to be hired? No. University Academy is looking for the best match of a teaching applicant to the available opening. We hire people with many years of teaching experience, as well as first year teachers. Likewise, we hire teachers with bachelor’s degrees as well as candidates with advanced degrees.
Does University Academy have a salary schedule? No, but we do have salary guidelines. Your teaching experience and degrees earned may be taken into consideration in determining your salary. Financial bonuses also given to staff (after one year of service) based on criteria established by the school board and superintendent. Teachers have found the salaries given by University Academy to be extremely competitive with surrounding school districts.
How will I be notified if I am to be hired? The hiring process is ongoing. If you have been interviewed for a specific position, you will receive notification of your status when a candidate has been selected.
