General Enrollment Information

At this time, University Academy is accepting applications to place on the waiting list for grades 1-12.  Once applications are placed on the waiting list, they remain on the list until removed by the parent, the student is selected, or they graduate from high school. 

Once you submit an application, you will be notified by mail that your student has been placed on the waiting list. 
Any student who lives in the Kansas City Missouri School District may apply to University Academy. Students are selected based on a random lottery drawing according to Missouri Charter School Law.

Kindergarten Enrollment Information for the 2012-2013 School Year

UA is now accepting applications for Kindergarten for the 2012-2013 school year.  Students must be 5 years of age by August 1, 2012.  Once you submit your application, you will receive a postcard in the mail that states "...we are not enrolling, but your application has been placed on our waiting list."  This is to notify you that we have received your application.  Students will be selected from the waiting list beginning January and ending February.  If your child is selected, you will receive a phone call.  If your child is not selected, their application will remain on the waiting list.  For all questions, please call 816-412-5988 or email bakerk AT universityacademy DOT org.

Waiting List

Since UA opened, there has been a waiting list of families interested in enrolling their students. While any student who lives within the boundaries of the Kansas City Missouri School District has the opportunity to become registered; those students who meet any of the following criteria will be given priority:

• Have a sibling currently enrolled
• Live within the boundaries of 47th to 85th Streets and Paseo to Oak Street
• Children of UA employees who live within the KCMSD
