Lower School Principal -
Mr. Mark P. Landes
Welcome to the Lower School Academy, grades K-5. I am honored to serve as the principal of the Lower School. Prior to coming to University Academy last year, I spent one year as a special education teacher and three years as a 4th grade teacher. After leaving the classroom, I was an assistant principal for four years. For the last six years, I have been an elementary school principal.
I live in Kansas City with my wife, daughter, and son, within the University Academy area. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to work in such an awesome facility with students who are excited about learning, teachers who are dedicated to their students, and parents who want the best for their kids.
The Primary Academy staff are committed to helping students succeed and become leaders in society. University Academy has a rigorous curriculum aligned with state and national standards that will begin preparing students to succeed in an institution of higher education. The combination of our great students, supportive parents, and dedicated staff makes for an outstanding team at University Academy.
