Mayor James Speaks at UA National Honor Society

University Academy inducted 13 students into its National Honor Society chapter on Wednesday night, February 3rd. Students were selected by faculty for demonstrating outstanding scholarship, character, service and leadership. Kansas City Mayor Sly James was the keynote speaker. Mayor James spoke about the importance of being life-long learners and showing leadership in the community. The inductees were: Avery Austin, Arsema Berhane, Omobude Eke, Malik Dickerson-McKinney, Je’nique Graham, Mya Dixon, Cameron Guyton, TateAnna Gravely-Moss, Shyriahana Ward, Safiya Maxwell, Mariah McDaniel, Kellan Owens and Amaya Zweifel. UA teacher Mrs. Nurrenbern is the NHS faculty sponsor.
