Class of 2019 Earns Record $12.4 Million in Offered Scholarships

Class of 2019Story featured on Fox 4! University Academy is proud to announce the graduating Class of 2019 has earned a record $12,400,000 in scholarships for 42 students so far. The Class of 2018 earned the previous record of $7.1 million in scholarships.

This stellar class includes three outstanding students who will be attending the prestigious institutions of Harvard, Stanford, and Cornell.  Graduates will also be attending the likes of Morehouse, Tulane, University of Missouri-Columbia, University of Oklahoma, and many, many more.

The Upper School was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a high achieving school for our students’ achievements on the Missouri End of Course state assessments in the spring of 2018. This marks the ninth year in a row that the Upper School has been so recognized. The Upper School is currently in the second year of enjoying being recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a 2017 National Blue Ribbon School, an honor that typically lasts five years.

University Academy, one of the highest academic performing public schools in the state of Missouri, is a public charter school in Kansas City that serves over 1,100 students in grades K-12. Founded in 2000, University Academy opened its current location in 2005.

Graduation is Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the Fred Pryor Gymnasium at the school. Story featured on Fox 4!
