Dear Parents and Guardians,
My name is Darrenn White and I am pleased to announce my return to University Academy for a second year teaching Character Education. With the first year under my belt I look forward to enhancing students skills with identifying emotions of themselves and others, skills for learning, and problem solving. This will be done in two part lessons created by me and the Second Step curriculum.

A little about me, I was born and raised in Kansas City, Mo where I spent most of my learning in the Kansas City Public School District. In 2006 I was a freshman testing the ropes of UA’s rigorous curriculum. It was a rough few years but I persevered and Graduated in 2010. During my time at UA, I was captain of the football, under head coach Damon Paul. Damon Paul is the heart and soul of UA’s football program and he always taught his players the lesson of giving back to our community. I went off to play football at the University of Wyoming, where I received my BA in Psychology. From Kansas City to Wyoming and back to Kansas City! I am very excited to give back to our community, by working and teaching future UA alumni! Kindergarten was a great place for me to start my residency and I am looking forward to growing with the students who will continue their journey to graduating from UA.

I have an open door policy that I hope you and your family members take advantage of throughout this school year. I also look forward to learning more about your family, as you continue to be involved in your student's growth. #ItsAGreatDayToBeAGryphon
