Hey Ladies!

Last year, AP Computer Science exams saw a massive jump thanks to the launch of the new CS Principles course. This year the momentum continues: almost 136,000 students took an AP Computer Science exam, a 31% increase.

The fastest growing group: female students and underrepresented minorities! (USA Today)

The explosive growth and improving diversity of computer science even made headlines on USA Today. We’re humbled by the news, and we remind ourselves we’re a long way from balanced representation in computer science.

CS Fundamentals – in Spanish!
Last summer we changed our CS Fundamentals courses 1-4 into a 6-course progression called Courses A-F. These new courses will soon be completely translated into Spanish! Teachers who taught the prior Courses 1-4 can now transition to Courses A-F. See our transition guide.

In the meantime, if you have questions about planning your school curriculum, take a look at our support guide. Do you want to use CS Fundamentals in another language? Help us translate our courses!

Let’s Connect Our Children with Coding

This class is all about being interactive and working together. Many parents get excited when they hear about their children coding. However, sometimes the parents aren’t really sure about what exactly we’re doing in class. Let’s change that here and now!

In the chart below, I have listed the course code for each class, by the day and grade level. Once students get to this site they will select their name and enter in their password. If you ever need a student’s password for home use, please contact me and I will make sure you obtain it.

Ask your students to go to http://code.org/join and type in the section code (Listed in chart below)

Alternatively, share this section's sign in page with your students:http://studio.code.org/sections/XXXXXX
